Behavioral coaching is a solution-focused approach that is active and skills oriented. Goals are often specific, measurable and time-limited. Coaching can help bridge the gap between knowing what to do and actually doing it.
Coaching can also be a helpful tool in managing chronic health and mental health conditions like ADHD, depression and anxiety. Clients will be given support with setting realistic, attainable goals and modifying environments to improve or optimize functioning.
Skills and goals can be personalized but might include support with organization, task initiation (getting started), establishing health habits (i.e. sleep, exercise, dietary), or parent management training (i.e. managing your child's ADHD or anxiety behaviors).
